Classroom Management Plan

Classroom Procedures
-
I will stand at the door and greet each student before the class begins.
-
Every student will pick up the worksheet and sharpen their pencils at math station before sitting down.
-
Every student needs to put their phones and earphones in the pocket in exchange for calculators.
-
At the first 2 minutes, students will share any good news with the whole class.
-
After the news, students will work on warm-up questions with a timer.
-
If students need to go the bathrooms, they will stand up and walk along the walls (not the front one with the board) and sign the bathroom sheet at the back.
-
If students want to ask a question, they will raise a hand, rather than shutting out.
-
For any in-class quizzes and exit tickets, students whose job is to collect paper will collect and turn them to me all at once.
-
During the class, students should throw trash after the class finishes, not during the class. They will have space to leave the trash temporarily on the tables.
-
I will use the go-around cup to pick students randomly to answer questions.
-
During group work or discussion, students will be respectful to each other, complete the task, make sure each person signs the project and thank the others in the group.
-
When there are visitors or someone is knocking on the door, students whose jobs is the doorman will take care of it and deliver the message to me privately.
-
Before the class ends, students will clean their tables, throw away the trash and put calculators back. If there is more time, I will let them do homework and get any help from me.
-
To be cooperative, students can help each other anytime when they are able to, they need to do it quietly so I can still teach. If the questions are hard or students can’t help, they need to raise hands to ask me.
-
When I raise my hand, that means students need to be quiet and they should raise hands too so I know I get their attention.
Artifacts

I will use this bathroom sign-in sheet during the class. Students who need to go to the restroom will record their names and time on the sheet.
This sheet can help me see the time taken for students who go to restroom most. If the time is too long, I will have to talk to them about the reason why, so I can prevent them from going somewhere else. Or if the same name appears too many times, I will suggest them to go to the restroom before the class.
This is the example of the job assignment I will use, It will have the list of classroom jobs needed and students can sign up and time period they want.
I think this can help students build a sense of community and responsibility that prepare them for the future. I have the rotation system so everyone can have a job.

I will use exit tickets at the end of my class frequently, it will have two questions usually, one is multiple-choice, the other one is an open-end response, like the example.
In this way, I can test each individual student's understanding. The first question can tell me if they know the concepts. the second one can help me plan my next class that if I need to re-teach anything.

The example is showing Google classroom, where I will post my class materials and worksheets for students. Also, I can connect to the calendar so it will have deadlines.
In this way, I can minimize the sheets I need to print and grade because everything will be electronic. It could save my time. Also, it can notify students to remember the deadlines and give parents access to the class and know what is going on. In this way, I am creating a community.
