Classroom Management Plan

After I have learned so many theories from the class of Classroom Management, I realize my teaching philosophy and approach will combine some of those theories and be utilized in my future classroom. For example, Freiberg’s CMCD model and Dreikurs’ democratic teaching theory are the ones that I will use in my statement.

I strongly believe that a positive community will help and support students in learning, thus, I will transform the classroom into a small community where the teacher and students respect each other. In this community, everyone’s voice will be heard, everyone will learn to cooperate with others and accept the diversity, in other words, no discrimination or bullying is allowed in my classroom.
To be able to do that, I will use appropriate rewards and logical consequences to reinforce certain behaviors. With the involvement of parents, it will give essential support to students and achieve their potentials. In this safe and positive environment, students will be motivated to learn.
With the illustration of the rest of my portfolio, it can truly show the concept of “community”, “student-center classroom” and “democratic teaching”.
